Submission for UG and PG Programme
- An online application can be submitted by clicking the "Apply online" link on the university's website www.ustm.ac.in. By using the ustmentrar.com/login page, a candidate can submit the entire application form in several steps. It is possible to pay the requisite application fee using credit cards, debit cards or net banking.
- The Application Fee is non-refundable and no correspondence on this subject will be entertained.
- Six recent (passport size) coloured photographs duly self-attested should be affixed on the application form. Application forms with different photographs are liable to be rejected. These photographs are to be pasted with gum and should not be stapled or pinned. Photocopies of photographs are not acceptable.
- Candidates are required to fill an application form in his/her own handwriting. If a candidate submits more than one application form for the same course, his/her candidature is liable to be rejected.
- Application Form must be filled in and duly signed by the applicant.
- Incomplete application form(s) shall be summarily rejected.
- The last dates for acceptance of application form for each of the courses will be notified from time to time.
Admission through Management Quota (MQ): 20% of the total intake of each program particularly B.Ed, D.Pharm, B.Pharm, BPT & BA LLB will fill up through the Management Quota. Admission for such category will be based on Merit of the student and financial contribution for the welfare of the university (Development Fund). Minimum financial contribution to take admission through MQ is ₹50,000/-.
Submission for Ph.D. Programme
The general guidelines for admission to Ph.D Programme at USTM may be downloaded from ustm.ac.in. Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. Programme may obtain the prescribed "Application Form" from the University counter at USTM, Meghalaya; Techno City, USTM, Kling Road, Baridua, 9th Mile, Meghalaya on online payment of Rs. 2,000/-. The candidate may also fill the application form by visiting ustmentrar.com and pay the prescribed application fee in online mode.
General Rules Regarding Fees and Accounts
- Fees shall be accepted by the cash section of the USTM in cash and not in cheques. Demand Draft will also be accepted by the Cash Section, Finance & Accounts Office, USTM.
- All fees are payable in lump sum at the time of admission. Course-wise Fees is shown in the prospectus.
- Part payment is not allowed except in those courses which have notified this facility in the prospectus.
- Fee can be paid without Late Fee: Within 15 days from the date of commencement of the academic session or by the prescribed date, whichever is later.
- With a Late Fee of Rs. 500/-: Within 10 days from the last date given on the programme Schedule.
- With a Late Fee of Rs. 1,000/-: Within one month from the last date given on the payment Schedule.
- If the fee is not deposited within the time limit fixed at clause (v) and (vi), his/her name will be struck off from the rolls but he/she may only be readmitted after getting permission from the Vice-Chancellor with an additional late fee of Rs. 2,500/-.
- Fee for activities like educational tour/camps etc. are left to the Department to decide considering the number of students and the expenses to be incurred on tours/camps.
- Dependents of staff members of USTM shall not be required to pay caution money, if a staff member gives guarantee in writing to the effect that the caution money, whenever required to be paid, may be deducted from his/her salary.
- The employees of USTM and their sons/daughters/spouse are exempted from the payment of tuition fee and medical fee except in self-financed courses and courses with differential fee.
- The fee given in the prospectus is only for the students admitted in the academic session 2026-27.
- If the last date for payment of fees falls on a holiday, the fees shall be paid on the next working day without fine.
- Fee deposited through prescribed fee slip within due date shall be accepted for the purpose of admission. No correspondence shall be entertained for refund/adjustment etc., if payment was not made on proper fee slip issued by the authorized office and/or within due date.
NOTE: All fees and charges, wherever given in the Prospectus, are subject to revision even during the commencement of a new academic session.
Refund Policy
To withdraw admission, the student shall submit a written application to the Registrar of the University before the commencement of class. The following amount will be refunded based on the date of submission of application:
