About the Centre

The Centre for Gender Studies, USTM (also known as Kong Sil Centre for Gender Studies) is one of the first centres in North-East India which aims to study the broader spectrums on gender issues and equality, while not limiting the study and research only to issues related to women. Established in 2023, this centre aims to promote the study, research, documentation & publication, training, and consultancy on issues related to all genders. The MA (Gender Studies) programme is recognized by the UGC and is listed under the NET/JRF discipline of Women's Studies.
